Christopher Wallace aka Biggie, life ended today, 20 years ago. He was slain  was on March 9, 1997 in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. He was only 24 years young.

Biggie had just performed at Soul Train Awards in California before he was killed after leaving an after-party at the Petersen Automotive Museum .

The rap phenomenon was born on  May 21, 1972, he was raised in Brooklyn by his Jamaican mom Voletta Wallace. .Life was not easy for Biggie in the beginning. He sold crack on street corners of Brooklyn and did a short jail stint when he was 17. He turned his negatives into a positive and started rapping. One of his mixtapes was sent to an editor at hip-hop magazine The Source and Biggie was soon signed by Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs, then working for Uptown Records.

After that, the rest is history. We Love You Biggie!!!
